The seat in Oklahoma’s 32nd State Senate District is vacant after Republican John Montgomery resigned to take a job as CEO of the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce. The 32nd District covers northwest Comanche County, including much of Lawton. Four Republicans and two Democrats filed to run in their respective primaries. The district is generally considered a safe Republican seat. While Oklahoma uses primary runoffs for regularly scheduled elections, primary runoffs are not used for special elections. Polls close at 7 p.m. (CDT). We will have the election results below once they do.
