The seat in Massachusetts State House’s 6th Worcester District is vacant after Republican Rep. Peter Durant won a special election for a seat in the state senate. The 6th Worcester District covers the towns of Charlton, Dudley, Southbridge, and part of Spencer. Two Republicans filed to run in the special primary, Southbridge Town Councilor David Adams and Dudley Selectman John Marsi Jr. No Democrat filed to run for this vacancy so the winner of the Republican primary will take the seat. Polls close at 8 p.m. (EST). We will have the election results below once they do.
