December is upon us as 2021 draws to a close, but the special election carousel continues to turn. The first Tuesday of the month gives us just one race to watch, which we will have election results for once polls close. The seat in Rockingham County’s 6th District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives is vacant after Republican Anne Copp moved out of the district. It is one of ten New Hampshire House of Representatives seats for Rockingham’s 6th District, which represents the entirety of the town of Derry. Republican Jodi Nelson, the vice-chair of the Derry Republican Committee, emerged from the October primary with a decisive victory. She faces Democrat and former Rockingham 6th State Representative Mary Eisner, who was unopposed in the primary. Eisner has run for a seat in the district every year since 2014, breaking through in 2018 as the only Democratic representative in the ten-seat district, but narrowly losing reelection in 2020. Polls are open in Derry until 8 p.m. (EST), you can find the election results below after then.
