It’s Nevada day 2 with the Republican Party holding their first-in-the-west caucus. Earlier in the week, the state held primaries for both parties in which the Republican side saw former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley lose to the ballot option “None of these candidates”. Former President Donald Trump was not on the ballot. The state’s Republican Party has opted to hold a caucus with all of its delegates bound to it where the former president will be a candidate. Haley will not be a candidate on the caucus ballot since she participated in the state-run primary. You can read more about why there is a split contest this week in Zachary Donnini’s article for us here.
Registered Nevada Republicans can show up to their local caucus precincts anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (PST) to cast a caucus ballot. Those election results will be reported sometime after that and we will have them below.
