We have election results for the race for the open seat in New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District. The seat is open after Deb Haaland was appointed Secretary of the Interior by President Biden. The district covers most of Bernalillo County, including most of the city of Albuquerque. It also covers all of Torrance County, as well as smaller parts of Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Valencia Counties. The race features Democratic State Representative Melanie Stansbury and Republican State Senator Mark Moores, as well as former New Mexico Public Lands Commissioner Aubrey Dunn who is running as an independent, and Libertarian candidate Chris Manning, who was the Libertarian candidate in the 3rd Congressional District in 2018.
