There is just one race we are tracking election results for today. The seat in California Assembly District 17 is vacant after Democrat David Chiu was appointed San Francisco’s city attorney. The 17th District covers the eastern half of San Francisco. Running to replace former Rep. Chiu are two Democrats who advanced to today’s race from the February 15th primary. San Francisco Supervisor Matt Haney came in first in the primary over the second-place finisher, California Democratic Party vice-chair David Campos, by less than 1%. We will have election results once polls close at 8 p.m. (PST)
